New rules relating to how we collect and process personal data - the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - came into effect in the UK on 25 May 2018.
We are fully aware that at times you will ask us for information, prices etc on the products, consultancy and services we provide. To do this you will most likely request that information to be provided to you verbally by phone or at events, via your email, our website, postal or other convenient methods directly to you or your company.
Our website offers you a form to send us your contact details requesting the information you require. This information entered is all we receive via our email and is not sent to any other service. Browsing our website uses Google Analytics to compiles visitor statistics on our web sites. You can opt out of Google analytics using a browser extension. (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
The data about you is used to send you the information you requested. Upon purchasing a product or service that requires updating or maintaining, then we will hold your information securely to communicate to you.
The nature of our business is not to share your information with any 3rd party without your consent. At any time should our suppliers request to contact you, we will in the first place seek your consent. Such request can be made by 3rd parties to enable them to provide you with added services such as product warranty registration. Should you decide to contact manufactures etc directly (3rd parties) then this does not effect your data held with us.
As with the Data Protection Act, the GDPR includes rights for individuals to inform us of change of details, restrictions on use as well as the request to be erased from our records. We do not use any data processing or manipulation systems that makes automated judgements or profiling of your data you provided us.
At any time should we communicate with you in good faith regarding something you have requested from us, and on receipt of that communication you no longer require any further contact, we will acknowledge your response to delete your details forthwith.
